The CARE Coalition Vision:
A Healthy, Vibrant Transylvania County, Free of Substance Abuse and Underage Drinking
The CARE Coalition was founded in 2010 in response to growing concerns regarding prescription drug abuse among youth in Transylvania County. In 2014, the CARE Coalition received funding from the federal Office of the National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) under the Drug Free Communities (DFC) Program which enabled the coalition to expand its focus to include underage drinking and emerging drugs. Wednesday, August 31 – Carolyn Barton, Director of Child Nutrition, Transylvania County Schools
