Thank you Speaker Chair John Brown.  The May theme is Youth Services and here’s the meeting schedule:

10 May 17 – LtCol Chuck Megown, Senior Marine Instructor, Marine Corps Junior ROTC Program, Brevard HS.

Speaking on the goals, objectives, activities and benefits of Marine Corps Junior ROTC and the status, students and activities within the Brevard HS MCJROTC Program.  Chuck plans to bring a couple of his cadets with him for the presentation

17 May 17 – Coach Bill Khayat, Head Coach of the Brevard College Tornados Football Team.

-Speaking on his objectives and intent for the Brevard Tornados as he leads the team into his first season as Head Coach.  Will discuss the opportunities presented by moving into NCAA Division III this Fall.  Coach Khayat plans to bring a couple of his assistant coaches to the meeting.

24 May 17 – Ruby Compton, WNC Program Director and Field Instructor for Muddy Sneakers.

Speaking on how Muddy Sneakers accomplishes their objective of “Enrich the Standard Course of Study, through experiential education in an outdoor setting where students connect with the land, become more active, and gain in self confidence while improving science aptitude. Will describe the program’s activities in WNC and plans for growth.

31 May 17 – Joshua Christ, Scout Executive, Daniel Boone Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Speaking on Boy Scout topics of interest and the status and activities of Boy Scouts in WNC.

The public is always welcome to attend our breakfast meetings, listen to our guest speakers, and share a friendly, enjoyable, and delicious buffet breakfast at the Pisgah Fish Camp every Wednesday morning at 8:00 am.
