Rotary Presidents on Deck
Upcoming Rotary Presidents Skip Hirsh (President Elect) and Jim Cruickshank (President Nominee) recently attended PETS training in Greensboro, North Carolina. PETS is a mandatory training seminar that prepares upcoming Rotary club and district leaders for their terms in office. Skip will become President on July 1, 2016 and Jim on July 1, 2017.
Prior to becoming President Elect, Skip served as Public Image Chair and has been a member of the Board for the past several years. He’s also Sponsor Chair for Assault on the Carolinas and thanks all the generous sponsors of the ride. In addition, he served as past chair of “Pack the Pantry”- Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest fall and summer food drives for Sharing House.
Jim Cruickshank serves on the Board as International Avenue of Service Director. He chairs registration for Assault on the Carolinas – the official registration process throughout the year; in addition to check in and rider packet / t-shirt pickup just prior to the ride. He’s a committed volunteer for the BackPack Buddies program in Transylvania County. Jim recently demonstrated Rotary Has Heart by running in the Asheville Marathon & Half on behalf of the Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club.
Both Skip and Jim were recent instructors in the Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest 5th Grade Expo – a program for all 5th graders in Transylvania County.

Congratulations Skip and Jim. Thank you for your leadership.
